November 4- Tom’s Interior Installation
We’re installing all kinds of things into Tom’s Mustang now, including a new headliner to match the white-and-teal interior, a new firewall under the dash, and new carpeted kick panels. We’re also doing restoration work on his Rally-Pac, which we will be installing soon.
October 3- Tom’s Engine Work
Here are the guys going some engine work on Tom’s Mustang, cleaning the connections on the spark plugs and replacing the valve covers and alternator with chromed alternatives and more. Check it out! We’ll get this engine running–and looking–way better in no time!
November 2- Tom’s Parts Installation
November 1- Tom’s Heater Restoration, Bezel Work
Here we are going extensive work on the heater box, taillights, and light bezels. The heater boxes in these old Mustangs, we’ve found, are often damaged and worn heavily, so we had to do quite a bit of fiberglassing and parts replacement. The taillights and bezels just needed some re-freshening, as they were in great shape.
October 31- Tom’s Interior Restoration
Here we are working to restore the interior components of Tom’s Mustang, including his heater box, glove box, dash bezel and instrument pad. It is very detailed work, but we’re very detail-oriented, and we know we can do a great job!
October 30- Tom’s Kick Panel Restoration
October 28- Tom’s Restored Parts
We have restored a lot of Tom’s parts, mostly trim and chrome, and will be installing it back onto his coupe during the re-assembly phase. For now, we have shrink-wrapped everything for protection and will put it away into storage.
October 24- Tom’s Chrome Restoration
While his Mustang is dismantled, we’re taking the opportunity to refresh and restore Tom’s chrome trim pieces. As you can see here, we have all his parts taken off and cleaned and are working on making them look nice. This should all end up just being refresh work, as nothing here really needs full restoration.
October 21- Tom’s Cowl Check
While we’re reassembling Tom’s Mustang, we got up under the dash and checked out his cowls, and they look really good! There isn’t any damage or major rust, so we just converted the surface rust and re-installed the air vents.
October 22- Tom’s Floorpan Insulation
We’re installing all the padding on the floorpans for Tom’s Coupe now, including insulation, to protect the interior from heat, and sound deadeners to make the ride more pleasant. The installation is going smoothly and Tom’s Mustang is really shaping up! We love taking driver Mustangs and fixing them up like this; it makes them look way better and drive a lot smoother. We enjoy making things JUST right.
