We are taking apart Dave’s dash now, including the dash pads, instrument cluster, steering wheel and steering column.

As you can see, we’ve started re-installing the chrome trim on Laurens’s Fastback and have begun preparing to install the glass again. The interior is also coming together nicely, and we’ve installed the cover plates over the shock towers. We’ve also installed the door hinges–and the doors themselves will soon follow.

Happy new year! Pat and Ross are working on Laurens’s interior still, installing the dash pad and the instrument clusters while they plug up all the wiring, and Tim is going welding in the trunk compartment. He’s preparing to replace the lower rear quarter panel sheet, but there’s some minor welding to be done first.

We’re installing Laurens’s wiring harness and heater box and plenum now, as well as painting parts the appropriate black finish.

We’re installing the trim on Laurens’s Mustang, as well as the headliner ribs and a few minor metal repairs. We found a few metal cracks in the floorpans possibly due to a previous floorpan job, where the sheets’ welds came loose and began separating, so Tim welded new bead-lines to smooth out the seams.

Tim installed the rear trim as we begin the re-assembly process bit-by-bit. We also did a little bit of grinding on the passenger’s kick panel where we found a little rust, and we also primed the dash panel over in gray prime, so that Laurens can pick his interior colors when his paint-man gets going.

We’re working on installing the interior still, and here’s Pat installing the power lock and alarm system, which Tom asked for for his wife. Here he is installing the courtesy door lights and the power lock motor. It’s a lot of work, but we’re happy to do it. He is also having to drill some new holes for the new wiring and stuff…

In addition to working on Tom’s interior, Big Chief with some help began installing his windshields. It’s a delicate task, because we have to get everything clamped in just right and also make it leak-proof.

We’re installing more of Tom’s interior, including his Rally Pac and stereo system, and we’ve begun restoring his center console to match his new color scheme.

We’re installing all kinds of things into Tom’s Mustang now, including a new headliner to match the white-and-teal interior, a new firewall under the dash, and new carpeted kick panels. We’re also doing restoration work on his Rally-Pac, which we will be installing soon.
