Assisted in cranking of engine;  Helped with adjustments, wiring, and tuning;  Assisted with the rear axle fluids and assisted with the dash assembly;  Located and organized parts, put some away that were not ready to install;  Installed cowl air vent, clutch and brake pedal pads and tidied up under dash the wiring and hoses;  Note- side wiring harness goes around rear of cowl vent to connect to a/c and heater switch control switch bezel;  Also, rear wiring harness mounts to left hand inside cowl to be run to the rear;  Important things to note;  Brake and clutch and gas pedals all lined up very nicely and look very professional;

Worked in trim shop;  Disassembled gauge bezel to install odometer reset button;  Note- it had been missed previously;  Polished chrome on bezel and returned to assembly to be installed; Polished right hand air vent and sent to assembly for installation;  Prepared rear ashtrays for paint, sanded off rust, masked and sent to paint;  Worked with vent bezel pitting to remove as much as possible;  Did very nice job;

Cranked engine and ran it;  Feared rear axle with 80W gear oil;  Installed lower heater blower duct;  Note- this is the one we had so much trouble with breaking and cracking;Worked on restoring a/cheater control switches;  Inspected rear switches and wiring for good connections;  Sanded off rust and treated rust with paint;  Disconnected wiring;  Cleaned terminals and connected;  Wrapped wiring harness with new wire wrap;  Note- gorilla tape with the vinyl coating works great for this application;  IMG 0620 for details;  Connected vacuum hoses to switch and installed in dash;  Connected duct cable to a/c box;  Checked to make sure it worked;  Tidied up vacuum hoses to all the switches;  Hung under dash;  Double checked dash wiring to heater boxes and finished dash wiring;  Installed glove box, glove box cover and switch;  Noticed dash gauge cluster did not have th odometer reset button in stalled;  Big Chief located button and sent back to detail shop to be installed;  Temporarily installed right hand air vent after it was cleaned and polished to perfection;

Continued plumbing, wiring and cranking;  Changed out spark plugs, put in new plugs;  Tuned up engine;  Connected plug wires;  Marked no. 1, brought #1 piston to top to check timing;  Note- could not get it to fire, went back to completing vacuum line plumbing;  Installed shut-off valve between vacuum box and rear manifold PVC fitting;  Connected PVC line to brake booster;  Connected PVC from right hand valve cover to carburetor;  Plugged one brake booster PVC outlet;  Note- need to check this out with past pics and see where it connects;  Attached A/C freon hose and plumbed all the way to A/C compressor;  Wired the coil to distributor, cleaned up and loomed the wires;  Checked solenoid, still no fire;  Checked battery, battery good, placed battery on charge;  Completed plumbing:  A/C, PVC and water system; Conencted wiring in dash to dash cluster;  Traced wires;  Continued to install clutch and brake pedal with new proper bushings, clamps and washers;  Still engine would not fire;  Removed starter and battery;  Took them to be tested;  Battery came back weak, dead cell;  Starter came back A-OK;
