6-19 Header Photos

by ShopBlogger

Here are the header photos that we talked about earlier. See how close the header pipes are to the floor pan? Its causing the floor pans to overheat and the carpet to burn. Because of the problem, the pipe itself also doesn’t look very good or match the beautiful engine. Moss recommended wrapping in heat resistance header tape. But the Big Chief doesn’t think that will work very well.

There are also a couple of photos of rear end rebuild. They show the gaskets and rear axle.

Tim and Mitch completed the inspection this week. They completely pulled the interior and trunk out to get to the damage. The rust is pretty extensive, but is definitely manageable. We will be sending a project sheet soon, so that you have a better idea of what work we will be doing.

06/15 Parts to Sell

by ShopBlogger

Here are the parts that we suggest for you to sell. Please review for your information. Whatever you decide to sell won’t ship with the Mustang. We handle the shipping of them as they sell to buyers, so that you don’t have to deal with it! Let us know what you think…

The guys have been at work ordering the last of the parts that will ship with the Mustang. They received the drive shaft, which will be installed when we get the transmission back. The bumper guards have also been put on the Stang.

They are continuing to install parts new and old. The rear windshield opening needed to be sanded to remove any old glue before the windshield glass is put back in. Tim also installed the new radiator and put in the old for shipment. We also put in the Monte Carlo bar.

Shawn began disassembling the gear box. Some of the gears are stripped and that was causing a popping noise when turning the steering wheel. More on that to come!
