Here are some photos and information that were already on Patrick’s Page…

Restoration and Reconditioning: Interior
The guys have jumped right in! They removed the rear windshield to fix the leak that was discovered in inspection. It will require some new rubber seals. Because of the leak, we removed all interior components to check the floor pans. There was some surface rust that looks pretty ugly in the pictures. Luckily, it wasn’t too bad (no structural damage), so Shawn was able to sand out the problem in one work day. They also began working on the rear window crank, which was stripped and not working. Some of the rear panels, like the one separating the trunk and rear seat will need replacement as well. Last week, Shawn and Tim finished the undercoating process on the newly sanded floorpans. Much better!

The slideshow below is a continuation of the interior restoration. We have fixed and tightened the headliner and have begun working on the dash. There is some rust present that needs to be reconditioned. The window workings have also been sandblasted and will soon be ready to reinstall. Get ready for a nicely reconditioned interior!

Here are the guys reinstalling the cluster. It needed inspection and cleaning. They also cleaned the heater box, reinstalled the windows, and took out the old headliner.

Installation: Engine Compartment
Since the parts have arrived, we will finally be able to begin installation on the items that Patrick requested. Tim put in the Holley carburetor-it works great!

Installation: Transmission
They have put together the transmission and fitted it for installation. The shifter needs to be notched for a good fit.

Radiator Removal

Shawn removed the radiator in preparation for the larger one that we ordered. It should be here soon!
