What makes this 'Stang so great is that it is a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach I Fastback that Joseph believes to be numbers-matching: it has an H-Code 351 Cleveland 2v V8, FMX automatic transmission, A/C, power brakes with discs on the front, and power steering. It also has a medium-blue metallic paintjob, which Joseph tells us is a rare color-code for these Mustangs (we're not very familiar with the 71-73 model years, but we're confident Joseph knows what's up), though it could use a new paintjob to be a really beautiful daily-driver--there are a few large chips and a rust bubble or two (check the Inspection pics, below). The interior is in very good, daily-driver condition, though there is some wear on the center console, and the steering wheel is aftermarket. The upholstery appears to be in very good condition, both in front and back, but there are some missing interior panels behind the fold-down rear seat assembly. The undercarriage appears solid (if dusty), and we don't see any rust-issues--though we did find some minor surface-rust in the trunk compartment. For overall structural integrity and preservation, MustangOnlyOne gives this Mustang a 9.5 out of 10 points as a daily-driver, as it is numbers-matching and free of major rust issues--the only thing keeping it from a perfect 10 is our discovery of some surface-rust and exterior rust-bubbles. For overall aesthetic quality and reliability, MustangOnlyOne gives this Mach I a 9 out of 10 points as a daily-driver.
