What makes this car so great is that it is a 1969 Dodge Dart Coupe that is all numbers-matching and a fully-restored sometimes-driver.  It has a 225 slant-six cylinder engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission, both of which are original and numbers-matching, and the engine has been rebuilt and the transmission was serviced.   It has drum brakes all around that have been re-done with new drums, pads, etc, air conditioning and power steering.  John has installed some custom gauges that aren't original, but otherwise this car is all-original.  The floorpans are original and in extremely good condition.  John also installed sound deadener under the carpet and a Roadrunner and Coyote-style horn (beep beep!).  He restored this car himself and has taken it to numerous local shows and has won 12 awards in a four month period!

 
More information from John: he bought this Dart in 2007 from the estate of the former owner, who, he was told, was its original owner.  He had the head redone, new water pump, alternator, belts, hoses, electronic ignition, electric fuel system, and carburetor as well.  Engine holds 45 pounds oil pressure at start and holds 35 while running.  Runs excellently, no leaks, doesn't burn oil, no drips.  John also handled the undercarriage and treated all the rust before undercoated it; he says there is no rust nor pinholes underneath.  There are some dents in the frame rails; these were caused from jack stands improperly placed.  In terms of body work, there were some dings on the sides of the car, which John repaired and skim-coated.  The trunk lid also had a dent, which he also repaired.  Now, the lines on the car are straight all over.
