Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

We met Mitch in Arizona, and he's a drag racer from way back!  Mitch even has a drag racing team that runs muscle cars on a regular basis--boy, don't you wish that was your job?  Obviously, then, Mitch is a car guy, and knows these classics inside-and-out.  He purchased this particular Mustang about fifteen years ago, in California in 1994, and has restored it from the bottom up.  Her name is Sophia.  It had a front-end wreck prior to him purchasing it, so he rebuilt the front suspension and shock towers to bring the Mustang back up to snuff.  In the past two years or so, Mitch has been improving this Mustang with aftermarket parts and upgrades, so that it will drive faster and be more durable.  This is no trailer queen: this Mustang was built for the road!

What makes Sophia here so great is that it is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe with a C-Code 289 V8 engine (with an aftermarket 4v carb installed), C4 automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning, Pony Interior, and upgraded components all around.  While it is virtually all VIN-specs matching (minus the color codes and carb specs, for instance), Mitch isn't sure if it has its original engine/tranny.  It has 600-lb 1.5 engine lowering spring front suspension and five-leaf rear suspension, as well as a Mallory ignition system, custom sound system, woodgrain steering wheel, Cobra-style valve covers and air filter, and American Racing rims.  It is painted red and has white Pony interior, which is the reverse of its original codes (red Pony interior, Wimbleton White exterior).  Mitch knows his classics and restored this Mustang to be a reliable, durable driver, and that it is!  You can trust that Mitch didn't overlook all those small, nonetheless important things that amateurs often overlook.  And on top of that, this is a California and Arizona Mustang its entire life, so it is rust-free and immaculate.
