Let Me Tell You About the Owner...

Will's a great guy that by day sells Mini Coopers at a local dealership and by night tinkers on and drives classic Mustangs.  This is the second of two that he currently owns, and this one's got a fascinating story behind it.  The original owners purchased this car on November 17th, 1964, drove it for decades as a family vehicle and tinkered with it when it came about time.  Will first saw this very car when he was twelve years old and was always jealous of it and wished he could drive it.  He came back and tracked it down years later and finally bought it for himself, from the very same family that owned it originally.

Will's done a lot of work on this car, and kept tons of the original parts, most of which are still in Tucsun, Arizona.  He's driven it for about a year now, but hard times are coming down on him (like most of us) and now he's decided that he needs to sell this car and use the money to pay off some pressing debt.  Lucky for him, he's got another Mustang that he's holding on to, so he gets to keep on driving those classic cars we all love so much.

Thank you for helping us save this beauty!  She needs to be in the right hands: someone that will garage her, drive her, and love her.

MustangOnlyOne Summary:

What makes this 'Stang so great is that it is a 1965 Mustang Coupe that is all numbers-matching and perfect for someone looking for a clean, beautiful daily driver without all the flash and noise that come with the more muscular models.  This car has a simple and sweet 200 1v straight-6 engine with a 4-speed manual transmission and comes with air-conditioning, so its fun and comfortable to drive but doesn't suck up that gasoline.  The body is a beautiful dark green with no visible damage and very good body-panel alignment.  The undercarraige is solid and rust-free, but a little dirty from daily use (the exhaust has a bit of rust from use also, but this is normal).  The interior is in daily driver condition, which means it has some minor wear but no damage.  For overall frame integrity and reliability, MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 9 out of 10 points as a restored numbers-matching daily driver, as the original transmission was replaced, rather than rebuilt and preserved, during the restoration process.  Otherwise this would be an all-original, numbers-matching ride.  For overall aesthetic quality and performance, MustangOnlyOne gives this car a 10 out of 10 points as a daily driver, as it is beautiful and in the kind of shape (though excellent) one would expect to see on a car that hits the roads on a regular basis.

Update: Will informs us that this Mustnag has about 175,000 miles on it, though the engine has been rebuilt more recently.  The green exterior is a re-paint, and the interior is white.
