John and Randy run a Mustang shop out in Arizona, and when Doug met them they were eager and ready to let us help them sell some of their great Mustangs! As you can see, they own tons of clones, originals, restorations, and restomods. While out there, Doug photographed numerous cars, including John's very own premiere 1967 Shelby Eleanor Clone and Becka's 1966 Street Rod Mustang. They started working on this car quite a while back and have put tens of thousands of dollars into her, including a high-quality paintjob, all the body work, and a fresh, powerful rebuilt 289. They estimate that another $10,000 will be enough to finish the job, which they would be willing to do for anyone interested in funding their work.

What makes this 'Stang so unique is that it is a 1967 Mustang GT Fastback with a newly-rebuilt 1965 289 4v engine block with only about 10,000 miles on it, which John and Randy have installed in lieu of the VIN-appropriate S-Code 390 4v, which is no longer present. The engine has J-Code cylinder heads, and is hooked up to longtube headers and dual Flowmaster mufflers, all in brand-new condition. While this car has no transmission, the front and rear suspension have been completely rebuilt, including a 9" Rear End with 300 gear ratio. A top-of-the-line Power Steering rack and pinion conversion kit and custom-made subframe connectors have been installed by John and Randy themselves, who are Mustang restomod professionals. The undercarraige has been treated with Reptar Bedliner. The paintjob is only about 1 year old. This car has a clean Arizona Title and runs great, and will make a great street rod GT for anyone who wants a classy muscle Mustang but isn't insistent about having a numbers-matching ride.
